Guest TR: Last Turns With a Great Friend, By Kevin Grove
by November 11th, 2008What Are You Waiting For?
by November 10th, 2008Early season turns on Avalanche Bowl. Photo in Jackson Hole News and Guide. Cuz if there’s snow on the ground…I’m gonna damn well ski it. Really, it’s still pretty thin out there, but there’s plenty of snow to get the skis on and get some good skiing under your belt before the season really kicks [...]

600″, A Stormshow Studios Premier
by November 7th, 2008Dirt Clod Season
by November 6th, 2008Though it’s easy to find solitude in the early season, the ski touring is all about dulling the edges, jake-braking, globing up your ski poles with dirt blobs accumulated from the base-less snowpack (Anyone got a name for this phenomenon?) and pulling grass and twigs out from your Dynafits. Winter MX!
by November 2nd, 2008I’ve been thinking about buying a snowmobile lately. (I know…don’t say it!!) Not a big mountain beast…but a little ripper type that can jet me up some access roads in the surrounding mountain ranges. Maybe a four-stroke. (Any suggestions? Remember this one?) Anyway…I found this little video and thought about just moding the KLR!!!
More October Hunting
by November 1st, 2008Since I had gotten some good turns in the Cave Couloir last Thursday, I was jonesing to ski much more that before and I lured Brian Harder out to join me for another go at October hunting. To me, the most logical next place to scout for turns was the Middle Teton Glacier. Its north [...]
