What I like about this video are the tight shots. So many of today’s videos consist of wide angle, big landscape edits of skiers and riders skiing a million miles an hour down some face or couloir. While that’s rad and all, I also enjoy seeing the energy in the skiers movements, watching the powder explode beneath their skis…and overall, fell like I am in and part of the moment. Kind of like how ski movies used to be made. Interestingly enough, Warren Miller’s Dynasty is a tribute to the 60 year’s that Warren Miller has been making films. 60 years…hell yeah Warren!!

It’s my understanding that WM has not been involved in the movies for quite some time, which happens to correspond with increased criticism of the films.
Either way…it still gets my heart pumping.
The film last year was perhaps the worst ski flick ever produced. Terribly painful to watch. I would say 1/3 of the audience i saw it with walked out, including myself.
With Mosely and the new owners of the “Warren Miller” movies, hard to believe it will be much better.
