Okay Jackson Hole ski bums, now’s your chance for fame…at least as an extra. Yesterday, Jackson Hole News and Guide reported that Better Wings Entertainment out Los Angeles has an interest in producing a television series here in Jackson…and more specific…at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. No doubt a huge score marketing-wise for JHMR.
The series, called “Epic”, will chronicle the life of a ski bum just out of college and follow him through his daily life and struggles wondering if he will ever return to “normal life”. The series will be a dramatic comedy, much like every ski-bum’s life, and bring close to 3.5 million dollar worth of production moneys into the state of Wyoming.
Now, we all know that a series like this will most likely be pretty cheesy to those of us that live the ski-bum life style for reals, but I’m sure there will still be long lines at every casting call the productions company holds. Too bad they’re sticking to bars, lift-lines and tracked out powder slopes to shoot this film, or else you never know…even Randosteve may show up to a casting call for his piece of the pie. Really though, this is great exposure for Jackson and all of Teton County from many angles, and it will be interesting to see how the whole process plays out.
