Frozen Trailer: (Like…Really?)

Okay, like…I first saw this on, like, Backbone Media’s website, The Vertblog. Then someone, like, emailed me about it. Then, I like saw it on TGR. SO…I figured I should like, post it here…so like, more people could see it.

So like when I first saw this trailer for Frozen, I said to myself, like no way, oh my god…this totally can’t be real. There’s no way Hollywood would make a movie about people getting stuck on a chairlift…overnight. That would be like, totally whacked! I mean…like wouldn’t at least one person have a cell phone with them…so they could call like, Bear Grylls or something to ask him for some advice? And like…what happened to the girls gloves?

Not to be like, the spoiler, but rumor has it this was like, filmed in Utah. And like, the girl cheated on her boyfriend (who’s on the chair) with the other guy on the chair. Like, and after one of the guys jumps off the chairlift and breaks his leg…a like, hungry pack of wolves comes around and torments and like, attacks him. I can totally see how this could happen. I mean, like, I saw some wolf tracks just two days ago…and i was like, scared for my life.  Not to mention the like, fear I get around chairlifts.  Totally gotta see this one…like for sure! ;)

Like, that looks like the dumbest movie I will never see. Only thing missing is Lindsay Lohan in the “starring” role. Like, Hollywood must be out of ideas if this kind of movie can actually get made.

With the economy in the crapper shouldn’t Hollyweird be making an effort to make great movies?

Wow!! That’s 30 seconds of my life I’ll never get back…..the person who greenlit that pig should be forced to live in a ski area bathroom for a week…and I’m not talkin’ an intrawest bathroom either….

This does look like the mind-numbing film. Slower than a fixed-grip. Jokes aside, I think this did happen at Hunter Mountain Ski Area in New York State in the late ’80s/early ’90s, pre-cell phone era. I tried to google it for a link to an article, but it happened in pre-internet times and I could not find an article. But I def remember this story from my childhood. Any one else remember this? I believe 2 men were left over night hanging over a span they could not jump from. It got down to negative 20 F and they suffered frost bite … no wolves though … I always dug the vibe at Ski Windham way better ;)

terrible….just another example of hollywood misinforming the public about the sports that we love. the producers should have paired this one with "vertical limit", giving an all inclusive ignorant climbing/skiing double feature!

Good one, that’s exactly why I don’t ride chairlifts :) But wait, once the movie gets out it will be crowded in the backcountry as no one will ride them again :)

i thought it was a joke until the girl freezes her hands to the bar — that’s pretty core.

poor guys obviously weren’t fully aware of their options — http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XO7a4wz4d2I

Very unrealistic. Everybody I ski with is more likely to die from cellphone radiation from their blackberry or Iphone.

It’s happened a few times. Happened to a guy just a few years ago too.

This actually happened at Big Sky in 1999. It took me a while, but I found a link to the story. http://tinyurl.com/y9tydun

Perhpas this was the inspiration for what is surely going to be an Oscar-nominated film?
