For all you Jackson rando racers, the Heather Paul Hillclimb Series starts tonight! These are pretty low key events, so there’s no pressure to wear your race suit and or kill yourself for the sake of victory. Just a good old time with friends and a time to remember Heather Paul…who unfortunately was killed in an accident on Cloudveil Dome in Grand Teton National Park. Heather was a true inspiration and would ski and run more miles that anyone I know. A fanatic…yes, a steward of the mountains…yes, and inspiration to everyone…yes. She was all these things…and an amazing woman.
Registration for the races starts at 5:30pm, with the start time promptly at 6:00. If you can’t make it for registration, try to just show up for the start and registration can be dealt with after the event. (Headlamps are recommended.) Cost to participate is $10 and includes free beer, food and a raffle. Tonight’s event is sponsored by Skinny Skis, Picas and the Liquor Store…what more could you ask for? Attendance to all 3 events gets you in the running to win a Snow King ski pass. Yeehaw!!!!
