As the days get longer and the snowpack begins to heal itself across much of the Rockies, it’s always fun to get out skiing with friends a bit more…and maybe even go on a road trip or two. If you’re thinking about it, you might want to hit the road to the great white north (hey…everybody is doing it) and attend the Kootenay Coldsmoke Powderfest. The ski fest is held at the Whitewater Resort in Nelson, BC, which has some cool terrain and fun sidecountry. I went to the festival on my way to Rogers Pass last year. It was a fun time and those Canadians are a real hoot to hang around with. I think it must be something in the…water.
The Coldsmoke Powderfest has a ton of camps, clinics, competitions, parties, gear demos and events lined up to keep you entertained, as well as some ski personalities you might like to meet like Eric Pejota, Greg Hill, Naheed Henderson and many more!
