LIVE…From Jackson Lake

Hola! Just dropping in with a BlackBerry post while skiing across Jackson Lake. I love these sunrise services on the lake as the northern range begins to glow and the anticipation of the day is still strong. It should be a fun day of skiing…if the sun doesn’t get too strong. :?

Ciao for now and live…to SKI!!!

Skiing across Jackson Lake in Grand Teton National Park.

Hey Rando, I just read in the JHN&G that Jackson County is the weathiest in the USA. How much they paying you to ski? That slog across the lake must be worth millions.

you already back in town at 4:40 or posting from the lake again? Upper colter is so much fun & so far back, it’s usually at least a 10 hour day for me. Did the recent wind get into the north facing stuff?

see any sign of recently-awakened bear up there?

last time I crossed the lake I set a skin track following a fresh wolf track for a mile up a canyon. The guy sure could read terrain!

teton tony..hola! 9:30 CTC…started at just after 6:30 and skied 10,732 and 10,333…not really the upper canyon. wind got to some north facing…but other spots were skiing well. lots of snow moved around though.

saw some signs of what might have been filled in bear tracks near the shore…but not many signs of anything up in the canyon…which was nice i guess.
