…I had the day off today. Well, at least I got mine in this morning, but the conditions are so good right now that it would have been nice to have had a bigger day. Duty calls however, and with the summer tourist season fast approaching…it’s time to make the donuts.

Contour Settings (w/ ND .3 filter): Contrast=56, Sharpness=4, Exposure=-1.

I’m doing some testing with camera mounts and settings with a new ContourHD GPS POV cam that I recently received.  I like the Contour because of it’s user friendly On/Off switch that feels really positive under your fingers and with gloves on.   It also has a cool application for an iPhone where you can use it as a view finder and change the exposure and other settings. Unfortunately, I have an Android phone, but they say they are working on the same app for Android, so I will wait patiently. I like the continuous photo mode also, but I wish it would beep every time it took a picture so you could anticipate when the shutter was going to click, make the slarvy-est turn possible and get the money shot. Who knows, maybe they can add it as an option in future firmware updates.
