    Its “always dumping” in CO?

  2. 2 Brent Jul 28th, 2011 at 12:58 pm

Please correct me if my geography is out of whack but aren’t you right there on the border of “always shitty” there Rando?? At least San Diego is only “partly shitty”, I feel better already.

  3. 3 Smokey Jul 28th, 2011 at 1:17 pm

I think it’s spot on. Always shitty in Montana…no need to travel here this coming season. Stay home.

  4. 4 Tavis Jul 28th, 2011 at 1:40 pm

They don’t call it Colo-Not-So-Rado for nothing!

  5. 5 ptor Jul 28th, 2011 at 1:56 pm

I prefer crappy to shitty, so I guess I’ll have to avoid the lower 48 ;-)

  6. 6 dan Jul 28th, 2011 at 3:49 pm

always dumping sounds like a lot of shit to me

  7. 7 randosteve Jul 28th, 2011 at 5:41 pm

as the weather often proves, it can be fine line between “always dumping” and “always shitty”. luckily, JH is on the right side of that line.

  8. 8 jupski Jul 28th, 2011 at 9:24 pm

Always shitty works for me, but
everyone should go to always dumping I here its EPIC!

  9. 9 eric Jul 29th, 2011 at 10:22 am

I agree with Smokey. It is really shitty in MT.

  10. 10 russell Jul 29th, 2011 at 10:53 am

I second that, it’s always shitty in MT. Please tell everyone you know to keep them away ;)

I want that shirt. Where can I buy one?

  12. 12 randosteve Jul 29th, 2011 at 5:46 pm

Freshies…not really sure where you can get one. the one i saw in the shop said alta on it…and was pretty old.

  13. 13 Tom Jul 30th, 2011 at 4:58 pm

Claiming Chicago as the land of great pizza invalidates the whole map.

  14. 14 Jim Jul 31st, 2011 at 12:57 pm

Funny , Everytime I have been down to Jackson in the winter it has been “Shitty” not the snow actually but the entire “Scene”.

Everytime I just stay home and enjoy the snow that we have up here in Montana it has been “Epic” without the shitty JHole experience. Do you guys really think that you are all that ? You really have a big head to think that everywhere else is sub par? Let me tell you something ….All of us up here in Montana enjoy great snow without all of the “I am better than you” atitude.

Yeah — keep thinking it’s all shitty everywhere else , keep paying your over-priced lift tickets and enjoying your uppity town full of wankers. I will stay up here where it is NEVER shitty and laugh at all of you that must work three jobs and pay over-priced costs for housing to enjoy what everyone else can up here for a fraction of the cost and without all of the BS that goes with being from “Jackson”.

Take a good look at the mirror to find shitty.

  15. 15 brian Jul 31st, 2011 at 5:16 pm

Wow. Guess we won’t have to worry about Jim needing some beta for skiing here.

  16. 16 Jesse Jul 31st, 2011 at 5:21 pm

Sounds like Jim needs some attention from the opposite sex….. another drawback of living in Montana.

  17. 17 randosteve Jul 31st, 2011 at 5:23 pm

    no doubt brian and jesse.

  18. 18 randosteve Jul 31st, 2011 at 5:29 pm

hey jim…why is it that nearly every time I hear this kind of crap, it’s coming from someone who lives in montana? you guys have a chip on your shoulder or what?

this t-shirt said Alta on it…so i guess utards have a big head too?

  19. 19 jonathan Jul 31st, 2011 at 7:41 pm

    You can’t fix hippie

  20. 20 Aaron Aug 1st, 2011 at 5:05 am

If you cant escape the “scene” at JH youre probably lazy, uncreative, or both. Its just like any place else with a big resort.

“….All of us up here in Montana enjoy great snow without all of the “I am better than you” atitude.

    I laughed…hard.

  21. 21 Jim Aug 1st, 2011 at 6:49 am

    I laughed hard as well….. Thanks for proving my point I rest my case. No chip on this shoulder, maybe some pride:+}

  22. 22 Ryan Aug 1st, 2011 at 3:51 pm

I live in MT, and every time I visit Jackson I have a blast! My experience is that the true locals in JH are strong and just plain psyched to get out in the mountains, not to prove how they’re “better than you,” but to share experiences that we all love.

Come on, Jim…can’t we all just get along?

  23. 23 Omr Aug 1st, 2011 at 4:14 pm

The “new” Schlasman’s double at Bridger was the old Peruvian chair at Snowbird, and I rode that thing for 30 years. Does that make Montana skiers “Montards”?

  24. 24 Tele Aug 1st, 2011 at 9:35 pm

Looks accurate. Be sure to stay on de S side of the U$ border if you want snow :)

  25. 25 Dawnpatrol Aug 2nd, 2011 at 12:49 pm

    DP…nope…don’t believe it one bit!!!

  27. 27 Drew Tabke Aug 2nd, 2011 at 6:15 pm

Way to stay above the trash-talk, RS. Oh wait.

I live in Washington and litter out the window of my Yukon XXL constantly while on the way to skiing dry powder so fuck that description.

  28. 28 randosteve Aug 2nd, 2011 at 6:47 pm

drew dude…i’m so deep in it submarines use depth finders to see me. and i’ve heard more “trash talk” from nuns in catholic high school.

  29. 29 ty Aug 2nd, 2011 at 10:49 pm

us MT skiers are definitely jealous of the tram, park, pass and snowfall. all i hear all winter is “jackson getting hammered” or “3 ft of fresh at the hole”….it makes me so mad! to add insult, you can just waltz right into that park down there and shred steep lines by lunch…getting angrier… ya, we can get a little defensive in lonely MT, but thats just residual crankiness from the endless-slogs-for -tours down here…

  30. 30 ty Aug 3rd, 2011 at 3:30 pm

anyone seen the real powder map?…i read either a weak la nina or weak el nino from one forecast, with a colder and snowier PNW. Plan your cascade trip now!

  31. 31 Caleb Aug 6th, 2011 at 7:45 pm

All I know if las season was a blast hear in Montana. Fresh powder every-time I went out. I didn’t ski anywhere else so unlike Jim I can’t speak. Wait, Jim did you ski an any other states? What? Powder is powder, it lands in a bunch of different states. I just hope 2011/12 is like last year. Yeah for global cooling!
