Steve will always be in my Heart.
It’s hard to believe that TetonAT is winding down into the last few days. This site was an amazing way in which Steve could share his boundless enthusiasm and thrill for adventure. We will all miss this site, but more so the man behind the words and pictures as there has been a void left in the wake of his absence. We all miss you Romeo!
Thank you, babe, for the years of inspiration…the years of sharing your passion with the world…the years of beautiful photography and funny story telling. Thank you for showing us all how to live every moment to the fullest and the drive it takes to truly pursue dreams.
You (and TetonAT – I know you would be proud that I included the blog
) have changed my life in immeasurable ways. I will love and miss you always. Meow and xoxo (times infinity). – Your forever Kitty (who now locks her heel)
Steve,
I didn’t personally know you but I read your blog daily. Your adventures, both in skiing and in life, truly inspired me. I hope that your dynamic spirit will continue to inspire “stoke” in many more and I certainly hope your in another place earning a few more turns. Cheers.

Romebro,
Nothing but Pearl Jam will be playing for you tomorrow at Moosely. Happy Birthday! Tetonat will always remain as a beacon of Live to Ski. Everyone Jackson skier will always associate Teton skiing with you. We all miss you man, thank you for being such a huge inspiration and role model.
Thank you for introducing me to the Tetons and convincing me to stick around for the winter. I will get that door to door GT time this summer (finally getting my running shoes dirty). Finally, thank you for kicking my ass up the dawn patrol boot pack this winter on Glory, best powder runs I have had yet. Rest easy friend. Live to Ski.
Matt
I miss Steve and his enthusiasm towards skiing and these mountains. I’m also reminded of what they (the mountains) give and what they take. After I heard about his death by friends in town, my heart sank- I changed my plans for the following day. My friend respected my decision, and we enjoyed powder in a less extreme area. Knowing people like Steve existed, was enough for me to push my own boundaries, while keeping my own limits acknowledged. Losing these two men in the mountains will not be forgotten, but we should focus on our own limits and our own friends for strength and acknowledgment of our power and the mountains’ power for our decisions. Enjoy the mountains, but enjoy your friends more. Cheers Chris and Steve, your enthusiasm will not be forgotten. Peace.
Happy Birthday Friend!
Your copyright will live on. (I wonder if you ever wore that shirt?)
You are thought of often, missed greatly and will not be forgotten.
Happy b-day Steve.
Happy birthday to Steve. He and his gifts are sorely missed. A deeply heartfelt thanks for all the inspiration and motivation and beta!
A belated thank-you to Steve for this wonderful site. I so enjoyed following along on his adventures. To his family and friends, my condolences and prayers go to you, as you mourn Steve. We are all better off for the joy that Steve brought to and shared with this world.
