Had a TCSAR call-out yesterday afternoon. A skier hurt his back on the kickers built at the end of the road on the south side of The Pass. No comments on that one. We built an anchor out of skis, made a 3:1 and hauled him up to the road on a sked. The snowmobiles helped in moving man power to the scene, but it was pretty standard stuff and not too eventful. Got me out of work for a few hours. Hope he’s okay.

Man…there was been some great powder skiing around here lately. Last week we had storm after storm roll through and things are starting to shape up in the mountains. Nice to see The Village open up some more terrain…helps to reduce some of the pressure on The Pass. Unfortunately, the sun was pretty strong last Saturday and left a little bit of a sun crust on the southern exposures, but it looks like more of the white stuff has fallen since then.

Here, Reed Finlay, Brian Harder and I get the goods in GTNP last week…on one of those “whoomping” days. Mostly of Harder beer-cannin’ the powder…and of course, more Pearl Jam, “You’ve got to Hide Your Love Away”, NYC.
