Back in the Sierra

Well, after a quick turn around in Jackson and a change of partners last week, Randokitty and I have been back in the Sierras for a few more days of great skiing, good company and protecting ourselves from the intense rays of the deathstar. Sorry I’ve been off the back with updated posts, but there’s not much internet access up in the peaks or at the trailheads, and with early mornings, long days and early bedtimes, it’s been hard to connect with the internet. A nice little break from the webby life though for sure.

Today, we are taking a rest day after two longish days skiing University Peak and a nice tour in the Palisades area. The Palisades is an amazing zone and I can’t wait to return to ski there again. The snow pack remains strong out here and you can still ski right to the car at some of the trailheads. Anyway, I’ll be back in Jackson at the end of the week and back on the blogging horse when I return. I hope everyone is getting some fun spring skiing in…and ciao for now!!!

Nope…but I do have a blackberry that let’s me do some stuff. And sometimes a vacation needs to really be treated like…well…a vacation.

What’s up with all the trips to the Sierras? Are the Tetons trashed this spring, or are you just checking out a new spot? The dust storms we’ve had here in CO will quickly make things pretty mediocre once the snow melts back down to the dust layers, so I was considering another trip to Jackson this year, although the Sierras have always treated me well, so maybe that’s the place to be.

Steve – looking good – we have been having a great season down here. Skied the Sierra High Route and Williamson last week – was in that same zone more or less.

One thing, though – hate to be a stickler, but it is “Sierra” not “Sierras” ;)
