At about 7:30 last night, I got a SAR call-out involving a text message about someone being trapped in a mudslide (or flash flood) in Jensen Canyon off Fish Creek Road near the Moose Creek Ranch. The call-out turned out to be a false alarm, but the mudslide was for real.

I was at work in Moose when the Blue Angels did their little fly-by to get photographs for the new GTNP Visitor Center. It was funny to see all the people confused and scrambling when they arrived two hours late due to the crummy weather. They say they may be back if they didn't get the all important shot. I feel a rant coming on…but I will spare you for now. The fighters start off far away, but end up flying directly overhead by minute one.
