I got out of Jackson on time…around eight. Pretty slick road conditions until out of Bondurant and a nice sundog casted some good vibes on the long drive ahead. I lost a bit of time just out of Rock Springs finding out that that 191 through Flaming Gorge was closed….so I back tracked and took the route through Craig instead.
Smooth sailing the rest of the way and Mount Sopris welcomed me to the Aspen area. Tomorrow my fellow retailers and I will get to ski on the new Black Diamond boots at Aspen Highlands. I’ve been jonsing for turns since the race and it will nice to get out and let the skis run. Weather reports are for frigid temps the next few days and I just hope it warms up a bit for the races this weekend.
Here’s a preview of Scarpa’s new boot line for 2008. Ciao for now!!!
That’s actually Mount Sopris in your photo. Snowmass Mountain, the 14er, can’t be seen from any roads.
Is it me or is that video using the same music from Biglines.com Bulletins from a Colder Planet.
Go que that one up in the DVD if you can track it down…great compilation.
The picture of ‘Snowmass Mountain’ is actually Mount Sopris.
Thanks for the help…they all look the same to us Wyoming folk! 😉
