Good Kitty

Ski House CookbookOkay Doods! Need a last minute Christmas gift for the girl in your life? How about the Ski House Cookbook? Not only is it an easy, no brainer buy, but you get to reap the benefits of all the good cooking too!

I got this book in the mail around two months ago and RandoKitty has cheffed up a few of the recipes so far. They have Jibber's Enchiladasbeen delicious!! The dishes are listed according to meal…like breakfast, après ski, appetizer, entree and dessert. They are categorized even further according to difficulty. Adding to the ski theme, they are rated as green circles, blue squares and black diamonds. Unlike my skiing, we didn’t get much beyond the blue squares.

Fabulously Fudgy Cocoa Brownies

Snowy PeaksOver the past couple months, we macked hard on the Back Bowl Bagna Cauda, which is a tasty anchovy and garlic, olive oil dip for bread…dubbed Italian fondue by the creators of the book Tina Anderson and Sarah Pinneo. We renamed Jibbers Enchilada’s to Ripper’s Enchiladas, cuz it just seems right and I even had a go at it the second time around since they were so good and easy to make. RandoKitty made a couple of the desert dishes, Fabulously Fudge Brownies and Snowy Peaks, and since she is allergic to Back Bowl Bagna Caudachocolate…props to her for cooking for her man. The brownies were choice and they had an awesome crust on top. The Snowy Peaks were more or less macaroons…so I hear…all I can say is it tasted great. I think Randokitty's Gogi Berri Saladmy co-workers would agree. For a while, our cooking juices were flowing and we even came up with our own addition, RandoKitty’s Gogi Berry Salad.

The book costs $30 and is available for $19.80 at Amazon.com, but you might want to give your local bookstore a try before you drop your dollars into cyber space.
